Woodrow Wilson Middle School, named in honor of Woodrow Wilson, former professor at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, and the 28th President of the United States, was designated in 1931 as part of a junior-senior high complex on Hunting Hill Avenue.

Wilson Middle School is committed to providing many rich opportunities for personal growth as students navigate through passage from childhood to adolescence, from elementary to high school.  At Wilson Middle School, every child will have an opportunity to excel.  Our excellent grade 7-8 school leverages the benefits of team teaching, interdisciplinary and differentiated instruction to best serve the unique educational, social, emotional, physical and mental health wellness needs of our students.

Our school goals at WWMS will continue to focus on data-based decision making that change classroom instruction to improve achievement for every student and developing a caring and safe school community of learners.

At Woodrow Wilson Middle School, education is more than just teaching.  Education involves nourishing, caring, demonstrating, communicating and growing.  By implementing these characteristics into our educational program, our teachers develop the whole student.

Our staff is dedicated to improving the educational program for all our students.  We are continually at work upgrading our programs to enhance our students' ability to reach mastery on all state and local assessments.

We hope you enjoy the Woodrow Wilson Middle School website.  Parents are always welcomed to our school; please feel free to contact me at any time.

Sincerely,

Gene P. Nocera, Ph.D.

Principal
