Macdonough's Back to School Bash!

 

Upcoming Events

Open House - August 31st

Students and families are invited to Macdonough School on Tuesday, August 31st from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for an Open House.  Teachers and staff members will be in classrooms to meet with children and answer questions about the year ahead!

First Day of School - September 1st

Students will be greeted by their teachers on the basketball courts at 9:00 a.m. and escorted into the building.  Parents are invited to a PTA sponsored breakfast beginning right after the students depart.  Everyone will be back in the gym at 9:30 a.m. for the traditional First Day Assembly as we kick off the 2010-11 school year.  Don't miss the fun!

Bring a Special Friend to Lunch Day - September 3rd

Children are welcome to invite a special friend to lunch on the first Friday of each month.  Moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandmothers, and grandfathers are among the very important people who join us for lunch on this special day!

School Picture Day - September 15th

Bring a smile to school on September 15th.  That's the day that photographers will be here for School Picture Day!

Connecticut Mastery Test Results

Once again, Macdonough School students demonstrated academic growth and success as measured by the Connecticut Mastery Test.  The school achieved AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress), a requirement of the No Child Left Behind Act. 

Macdonough PTA

The PTA Planning Committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 3:30 pm in the library.   All members of the Macdonough community are welcome at PTA meetings.  Please join us as we support our school!
