RAM P.R.I.D.E. Cards

RAM P.R.I.D.E. Cards for Students
Improving our school climate is a goal to which the Woodrow Wilson staff has paid much attention for this school year. We want the students and staff to work and study in an atmosphere of mutual respect, which leads to success for all students. Your child may have already received a PRIDE card as a result of behaving in a way that has impressed one of his or her teachers.

P.R.I.D.E. cards will be given to any student by any teacher when a student has demonstrated:

Pride, Respect, Integrity, Determination, Excellence (refer to School’s Pride Matrix for specific details)

Students will be given a PRIDE card that the teacher has completed.  The student will place the card in a box in each of the team leaders’ classrooms.  At the end of each week, a drawing will be held from the entries.  A student from each team will be recognized for having PRIDE and an announcement will be made from the office.  The student will also receive a small token prize.  In addition, at the end of each term, there will be grade level assemblies where all students who have previously received PRIDE cards will be recognized and a drawing will be held by grade level and a prize awarded to a student from each grade.

Dr. Nocera is also working on securing funding that will bring back our Citizen of the Month program, as well as provide money for holding three social events that will reward those students who have made the honor roll each term.

With these incentives we hope students will consistently work to achieve individual success throughout the year.

RAM P.R.I.D.E. cards for Staff
Staff can also be given P.R.I.D.E. cards from students for the same reasons.  At the end of each month, a teachers name will be drawn and be awarded the PRIDE parking place at the front of the building.
