Summer Reading!

Don't forget to return your Reading Logs! Click the link above to get the details. Spencer's goal is to have 100% returns!

We take great pride in the achievements of our students, both scholastically and socially. A variety of support programs are in place to meet the diverse needs of our students.  Spencer School has an active, engaged parent community and dedicated parent organization that provide a variety of programs and activities for our students and parents.   This creates a rich and lively school community.  The 2009-2010 school year will be very busy.  There will be many opportunities for students and their families to get involved in many fun events and activities that make your child’s school experience meaningful and memorable.   Your support and assistance is vitally important to the success we want for all the students at Spencer School.  An experienced and committed teaching staff will continue to support our students' efforts in the classroom to assist them in meeting the high academic standards set forth by the school district.  The development of our students' literacy and mathematics skills through well-designed instructional activities and through the use of comprehensive curriculum resources are the focus of our school improvement efforts.  Spencer School will continue to implement Effective Behavior Supports as a process to further help our students develop and demonstrate social behaviors within the school setting that will lead them to success in school and life.  Numerous incentives and activities are in place to support our students' social success at Spencer School.

We look forward to working with you and your children this year.  Please feel free to contact us at any time.

Sincerely,

Amy Clarke
Principal
