All Middletown Public Schools, (including Special Education), Elementary Parochial Schools, and Vinal Technical School.
NO SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENT:
A NO school closing announcement means that there will be NO TRANSPORTATION to the above named schools, as well as out-of-town schools, after-school, and evening activities.
DELAYED SCHOOL OPENINGS:
School will begin 2 hours later than normal, and all school transportation will arrive approximately 2 hours later. (Example: if your child is normally picked up at 7:15 a.m., he will be picked up at approximately 9:15 a.m.). This includes “out of town” transportation. If travel conditions fail to improve, it is possible that schools may NOT open – please continue to listen to your radio/TV station for updates.
Announcements that Middletown Public Schools will dismiss early on a particular day will be announced on the radio, television, and on our website listed on the home page.
When there is a 2 hour delay there will be NO morning preschool sessions. The afternoon preschool will be picked up at the normal time. In the event of an early dismissal, the afternoon preschool sessions will be cancelled.
Should you have questions about these procedures, your school principal will be happy to answer them for you. Remember, your first call should be to your son/ daughter’s school.
