Teaching & Learning

Enza Macri, Associate Superintendent

Welcome to the Middletown Public Schools Teaching & Learning home page.

The resources linked to this page are designed for teachers, administrators, parents, students - and anyone interested in our PreK-12 programs and the many links and resources supporting them.

Listed below are the district's eleven major programs. Linked to them are a wealth of resources, including updated scope & sequence overviews, related state and national websites, and suggestions for parents - to name just a few.

Also listed below is a menu that includes other information: CMT and CAPT resources, assessment schedules, educational technology resources, as well as our partnerships with other schools.  The online resources may be especially helpful to parents and students looking for additional, enrichment, or alternative resources.

In the past year and a half, the Middletown Schools have made significant progress in student achievement by aligning curriculum and providing professional development in research-based instructional practices.  The district's newly revised three-year plan is posted under the Superintendent's Page and sets the stage for still greater student achievement. As partners in Connecticut's Accountability for Student Learning Initiative (CALI), Middletown is positioned to make even greater growth in student achievement over the next few years.  Much of that work is - and will become even more visible - in the documents and resources found in these Teaching & Learning pages.
