The preschool program operates half day classes, morning and afternoon. Hours are from 9:15 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. and 12:45 P.M. to 3:15 P.M. The preschool follows the public school calendar. Transportation is provided for all children. The preschool program is located at Wilbert Snow and Bielefield Schools.

Middletown Public Schools is committed to comprehensive, developmentally based early childhood services. The preschool program provides services to three and four year olds identified special education students and regular education four year olds on a half day basis. The program fully integrates all regular and special education students. The emphasis of the program is on the development of skills in the gross motor, fine motor, language, social/emotional, and general knowledge areas.

The classes are designed to provide the child with a nurturing environment and curriculum in order to better prepare him/her for the kindergarten experience. Special needs children are fully integrated into each classroom.
