New Farm Hill Principal appointed!

The Middletown Board of Education has appointed Richard Henderson Principal of Farm Hill Elementary School.   Mr. Henderson has been a principal and assistant principal in the Plainfield Community Consolidated School District in Plainfield, Illinois, since 2007.   Prior to that, he was Learning Lab Director in the school district.

Mr. Henderson began his career as an elementary school teacher in Regional School District #14 in Woodbury, Connecticut, where he served from 2000 to 2006.   He was also an elementary teacher intern in the Shelton, Connecticut school district during the 1999 – 2000 school year.

Mr. Henderson is a graduate of Fairfield University and holds a J.D. degree from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut.

Board of Education Chair, Dr. Gene Nocera said, “We are certainly fortunate to be able to hire such an accomplished leader for Farm Hill Elementary School, and we look forward to the leadership he will provide for Farm Hill.”

Mr. Henderson will begin in August, 2012.
