Middletown Public Schools’ Transition to Life Center (TLC) provides students, age 18 – 21, with opportunities to increase their awareness of their own skills in the areas of independent living, careers, community resources, and day-to-day academics. Students then receive training in these areas, in order to enhance their skills and knowledge toward increased independence and improved quality of life. Experiences are designed around individual student’s needs as identified in each student’s transitional goals within his/her Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
