
Welcome to Middletown Adult Education Family Learning
The Family Literacy Programs of Middletown Adult Education recognize that parents are their children's first and most important teacher. We support this by bringing parents in need of adult education and their children together to share the excitement and joy of learning.
Middletown Adult Education offers two Family Literacy Programs:
The Even Start Program
Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00-12:30
Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00-2:30
Early childhood education classes are offered for children ages 6 weeks through 3 years old.
Parents must be enrolled in one of the following Adult Education programs:
High School
Adult High School Credit Classes
CDP Curriculum Packets
Credit for documented life experiences
GED (Equivalency Test)
Connecticut High School Diploma
Classes and practice tests
Registration Center
External Diploma Program
For mature adults
Credit for documented life experiences
Adult Basic Education
Reading, writing and math
ESL - English as a Second Language
Language instruction
Cultural adjustment

Monday-Thursday, 1:00-4:00
Childcare is available for children ages 6 months through 5 years.
