Dear Friends and Families,

We are very excited about the upcoming school year and want to be sure that you have all of the information that you need as our partner in your child's education.

There are always changes occurring so I encourage you to become familiar with the information that is available on the CT State Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education website. It contains a wealth of information as well as forms such as the Referral to Determine Eligibility for Special Education and Related Services. In addition, the State Education Resource Center (SERC) offers a wealth of resources in their library and with a wide variety of professional development opportunities that are often free for families. You may access their website at www.ctserc.org .

This site will help you to access information related to Birth to 3 and preschool services, the referral process for Special Education, secondary transition for students with disabilities, and links to additional resources and information.

Feel free to contact me as I welcome the opportunity to hear your ideas, answer your questions, or hear your concerns.

Best Regards,

Amy Clarke
