These PowerPoints are a new resource for teachers to use in order to assist students in their preparation for the CMT and CAPT tests. They may be used as "Bell Ringers" or as part of a specific daily lesson. The questions are divided into 4 categories; Scientific Method and Skills, Life, Physical, and Earth Sciences. Questions are grade level appropriate and cover a wide variety of topics within a specific category.
The PDF format of the Bell Ringers PowerPoint is available to anyone and displays all questions.
The Teacher version with answers is the same PowerPoint presentation, but in the Powerpoint application with the answers available in the Notes section of the document. In this format, teachers can save and change the slides for their own specific daily lessons. These presentations can only be accessed by our Middletown Public Schools Teachers with their individuals passwords.

The
Westport Public Schools were kind enough to share the following resources with us. You will find a variety of mathematics problems (and answers) that reflect the kinds of applied skills emphasized in Middletown's math curriculum and assessed by the state in its mastery tests. Please note that a number of the exercises involve word problems and that others require students to explain their answers in writing.
