Professional Learning
Middletown Public Schools is committed to providing all educators consistent, evidence-informed, collaborative, and culturally- and professionally-relevant professional learning focused on the achievement and growth of the whole student. MPS prioritizes job-embedded professional learning to empower educators to build their skills and knowledge in service of district, school, student, and personal goals.
In Middletown Public Schools, we believe that effective professional learning:

supports peer-to-peer collaboration.
synergistically models effective practice and aligns to the MPS Instructional Vision.
is supported by coaching and/or instructional expertise.

Professional learning opportunities include full and early release days, coaching, instructional data teams, team and grade level meetings, department meetings, peer-to-peer classroom visits, staff meetings (including those focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging), coaching institutes, administrator institutes, and more!
