The Middletown Board of Education has begun the search for a new superintendent of schools.  The Middletown Board of Education has engaged the New England School Development Council (NESDEC) to assist them in the search process.  The posting to seek potential candidates was made public on January 28, 2026.

All comments from the online survey and the focus groups are considered anonymous.  NESDEC will organize the responses and will provide the Board of Education with a Successful Superintendent Candidate Profile.  Applicants to the position of Superintendent will be screened based on the dominant themes that emerge.
