Job Sites for MTC Flyer

Join us in building a stronger, more inclusive Middletown.

Local Business & Community Leaders:

The Middletown Transition Center (MTC) has an exciting opportunity that can strengthen your connection to our community while making a real difference in the lives of young adults with disabilities. We're seeking businesses and organizations to serve as job sites for our students. We believe this partnership will benefit everyone involved.

Our Students

Our students are motivated young adults between 18-22 years old who are ready to contribute meaningfully to the workforce. They bring enthusiasm, dedication, and fresh perspectives to every task. Most importantly, they're eager to learn from experienced professionals like you and your team.

Why Community-Based Employment Matters

Real work experience in actual business settings cannot be replicated in a classroom. When students work alongside community members, they develop skills that truly prepare them for future careers while also breaking down barriers and misconceptions about disability. This integration creates valuable social roles that go far beyond job training; it builds genuine inclusion and contribution.

Employment in community settings stretches thinking, spurs personal growth, and demonstrates that meaningful work is possible for everyone. Your business becomes part of this transformative process.

What Your Partnership Provides

When you welcome MTC students to your workplace, you'll receive:

  • Dedicated Support: 1-2 students who are always accompanied by their experienced job coach, ensuring seamless integration with your operations

  • Enthusiastic Contributors: Students who are genuinely excited to learn and support your organization's mission

  • No Financial Cost: Student labor comes at no expense to your business

  • Flexible Scheduling: Students are available Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, with scheduling designed to meet your specific needs

  • Community Recognition: Position your business as a leader in inclusive employment and community partnership

The Broader Impact

By partnering with us, you're not just providing work experience, you're creating opportunities for authentic social integration. Your employees and customers will interact with our students, fostering natural workplace relationships that benefit everyone. This type of genuine community connection strengthens our entire Middletown area.

As our enrollment continues to grow, we're actively seeking new partnerships with businesses and organizations that share our commitment to inclusion and community development. Your participation helps ensure that young adults with disabilities have access to meaningful work experiences that can shape their futures.
