Ayer Named New Head Coach for MHS Girls Soccer

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Alex Ayer, one of our esteemed school counselors, has been selected to be the next Head Girls Soccer Coach for Middletown High School (MHS).

Ayer, who has been a counselor at Middletown High School for 4 years, is known for his dedication and passion for helping students succeed both academically and personally. Prior to this new role, Ayer held the position of Boys Soccer Coach at Beman Middle School for the last 2 years and was an assistant soccer coach at Hall High School before that.

In his new role as the Head Girls Soccer Coach, Ayer will bring his wealth of experience and expertise to the team, helping to shape the future of the program and guide the team to new heights. He will be responsible for leading the team in both practice and game settings, as well as developing strategies to improve the team's overall performance and success.

Middletown Public Schools’ Athletics Director, Ms. Elisha De Jesús, expressed her excitement about the appointment of Ayer as the new Head Girls Soccer Coach. "We are excited to announce Coach Alex Ayer as the new Head Girls Soccer Coach at Middletown High School. Our interview committee was impressed with his wealth of experience both as a collegiate soccer player and in his previous coaching opportunities. We are thrilled for this new chapter in our girls soccer program and can't wait for Coach Ayer to start working with our student-athletes."

Ayer also commented on his new and additional role with MHS, stating that he is looking forward to the challenge and the opportunity to work with such a skilled group of student-athletes. "I am honored to be selected as the new Head Girls Soccer Coach and am excited to work with the team to help them achieve their goals and reach their full potential both on and off the field."

The Middletown High School Girls Soccer team will begin preparing for their upcoming season soon. Ayer's appointment as Head Coach is sure to bring a new level of excitement and energy to the program.
