Middletown High School's Orchestra program invites the community to start their December with music, crafts, and warm beverages at their second annual Coffeehouse Fundraiser. The event will take place on Saturday, December 7th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the MHS Cafeteria.
For a $5 admission fee, attendees will enjoy unlimited coffee, tea, and hot chocolate along with live performances by the MHS Orchestra. The event will feature student vendors selling handmade crafts, various concessions, and gift items perfect for holiday shopping. Young attendees can participate in special craft activities throughout the morning.
This year's fundraiser holds particular significance as the orchestra works toward a special goal. In addition to supporting transportation costs for performances and festivals, proceeds will help fund a commissioned piece of music dedicated to Delilah Van Ness, a cherished member of the MHS Orchestra family. The piece, being composed by Los Angeles-based composer and conductor Matthew Swartz, will premiere at the orchestra's spring concert in May 2025.
