The Middletown Board of Education and Dr. Alberto Vázquez Matos have amicably agreed that his employment as Superintendent of Schools has ended, and Dr Vázquez Matos will be pursuing other professional opportunities.
Dr Vázquez Matos led the Middletown Public Schools since 2022 as its Superintendent. The Board of Education wishes Dr. Vázquez Matos all the best for the future.
The Board of Education has appointed Dr. Alan Addley to serve as Interim Superintendent to provide for continuity of leadership, and the Board of Education will be initiating a search process for a successor Superintendent.
