Connecticut Sales Tax Free Week Begins! Aug. 16-Aug. 22

Middletown families - Connecticut's Sales Tax Free Week is underway!

Starting today, August 16, and running through Saturday, August 22, Connecticut residents can purchase certain clothing or footwear items that cost less than $300 without paying the additional 6.35% state sales tax. This is only for this week, and only for stores located in Connecticut, as well as online retailers.

There is a full list of items that are eligible to be purchased and are exempt from the state sales tax that can be found on the State of Connecticut's website. That also includes items that are NOT included in the sales tax holiday. You can find all that information at the following link.
