ParentSquare
What is ParentSquare?
Middletown Public Schools uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text, and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number, as indicated through their PowerSchool ParentPortal. We encourage (but do not require) parents/guardians to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.
Here’s what you can do with ParentSquare:
- Receive messages from the school via email, text, and/or app notification;
- Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6pm;
- Communicate in your preferred language;
- Comment on school postings to engage with your school community;
- Direct message teachers, staff, and other parents;
- Participate in group messages;
- Sign up for parent-teacher conferences;
- Sign forms & permission slips, receive test scores & report cards, sign up to volunteer, and more...
...all from your desktop and/or mobile device.
ParentSquare Community Groups
We offer community members the option of signing up for ParentSquare community groups; you do not need to be a parent/guardian, employee, or student of MPS to join these groups. The groups that we offer at this time are:

MPS Alerts - If you are a current MPS student's Emergency Contact, a community member, and/or service provider for Middletown Public Schools, we recommend signing up for this group. We will only send notifications to this group when there are emergency closings and delays for all Middletown Public Schools. MPS Families and Employees do not need to sign up for this group, as these alerts will automatically go to them.

MPS News - This is a great group for MPS Community Members who are interested in knowing what is happening in and around MPS and Middletown. We will share our weekly district e-newsletter, "The Community Connector", as well as other good news and upcoming events.
