SAVE THE DATE: UConn Health Marks Black Doctors Day

UConn Health is inviting members of the community, including young and aspiring middle and high school students who are considering a career in the medical field, to join them for Black Doctors Day, a special academic forum, free to attend, and complete with a variety of engaging and captivating opportunities to learn about the healthcare industry.

The event is happening on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 12-5 p.m. at the UConn Health Center's Academic Rotunda, located at 263 Farmington Avenue, Farmington, CT 06030.

Black Doctors Day is dedicated to expanding the horizons of the next generation of healthcare professionals throughout the industry, allowing middle and high school students to engage with practicing physicians from a range of medical specialties, further empowering them to see their potential future as leaders in the industry and the community.

The event will feature a keynote address, hands-on demonstrations from physicians, a health fair, vendor exhibition, and a white coat experience for students exploring careers in medicine.
