MHS Student Receives 2026 Harvard Book Prize

Rising Middletown High School senior student Taliah Jackson is being recognized by the Middletown High School and Middletown Public Schools administration for receiving the 2026 Harvard Book Prize, presented by the Harvard Club of Southern Connecticut.

Taliah was given this prestigious honor by MHS Principal Dr. Dawn Brooks this summer, where she also received a copy of the book, Right Kind of Wrong, by Amy Edmondson, which was selected as the book of choice for this prize by Harvard University ​alumni.

Each year, the Prize ​is given to outstanding high school students ​who ​will be going into their senior year. ​Harvard alumni are proud to recognize those students ​who display ​high academic excellence, exemplary character, and ​significant contributions to their school or community.

The Harvard Book Prize has been in existence since 1910. The Harvard Club of Southern Connecticut was founded in 1980, and to date, provides the Prize to 102 high schools ​across the state of Connecticut.
