TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Wednesday, September 2 - Cruise Night on Main Street

To our Middletown Public Schools Families,
Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2, 2026, the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Cruise Night on Main Street in downtown Middletown. The event is scheduled from 4:30-8 p.m., but there will be road closures in and around the downtown area, primarily along Main Street.
The following information and times were provided by the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce. Please take note of the road closures and parking advisories, especially for the afternoon commute home from school:
12 Noon – NO PARKING - MAIN STREET between Court & William Streets
NO PARKING – OLD CHURCH STREET
12 Noon – NO PARKING – COURT STREET between DeKoven Drive & Broad Street
1:00 pm - NO PARKING – REMAINDER OF MAIN STREET between Union & Washington Streets, along with Pleasant Street & the North Side of Union Street
2:00 pm – MAIN STREET CLOSED between Court Street & MLK Way / William Street
NO ACCESS to that portion of Main Street via side streets
3:15 pm – MAIN STREET CLOSED between Washington & Union Streets
8:30 pm – ALL STREETS RE-OPEN
