Description: SEL Interventionist
Position Definition:  Supports the SEL through direct and indirect intervention
Duties:  Provide small group, pro-social intervention through the implementation of evidence based curriculum; promote a positive school climate; set individual SEL goals for students in collaboration with the SEL Intervention team; model and encourage positive behaviors in the intervention room, classroom and all school environments to ensure that new skills learned are being practiced; work collaboratively with school staff and SEL intervention team to meet the social emotional needs of students; collect data and communicate student’s progress with the SEL Intervention team; be an active and contributing member of the SEL Intervention Team. 
Additional Duties:   Required to attend faculty meetings and professional development as appropriate or assigned; may perform related duties as required to meet the social, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs of students.  
Supervised By:   School social worker/psychologist and school principal
Qualification Profile:  A Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, human services or other related field as well as experience working with children in an educational setting is strongly preferred.  An Associate’s degree in a related field with equivalent experience will be considered; ability to relate to students, staff, and families in a positive and effective manner; experience facilitating small groups with children is preferred; experience working in a diverse and multicultural community; ability to work independently and take initiative with tasks; ability to be flexible in an active school environment.
Salary:  $25/Hr
Start date: Anticipated Feb. 8 or upon hire and on-boarding
