Teachers, staff, and administrators will primarily communicate with families through ParentSquare. This is an online platform that allows easy and effective communication between schools, departments, and other groups, and families. Parents and caregivers can sign up for email, text message, and mobile app notifications. 

These notifications are also important in the event of disruptions to the regular school day, such as the event of an early dismissal, a delayed opening, or a sudden closing of school.

Families are strongly encouraged to ensure their contact information is the most up-to-date in ParentSquare, and their notification preferences are set accordingly, to ensure these notifications and alerts are received.

You will be notified about your child’s teacher assignment(s) and schedule via PowerSchool. This is the District’s electronic student information system, where student, staff, and schedule information is housed and maintained. This notification will be sent out to families in the coming days.

It is essential that families keep their contact information up to date in PowerSchool, so staff and administrators can stay in touch throughout the school year. It is also important that families complete their child's annual forms upon the start of the school year.

Students are expected to follow the Middletown Board of Education dress code policy and regulation No. 5132: Dress and Grooming. 

Students are expected to dress professionally to ensure a safe and respectful school atmosphere for themselves, and for others. Clothing and/or grooming deemed unsafe, inappropriate, or disruptive in any fashion is not allowed.
